How we can help

Whether you sell insurance, or your clients do.

The RIA framework affects both businesses that need to train their teams and the partners who serve those businesses. We support both.

About accreditation

ILScorp's RIA Training Program has been developed to align with the Insurance Council of BC's published Performance Requirements. Accreditation submissions open in July 2026, and we'll be submitting our program for review as soon as the Council's process is live. We'll keep this page updated as our accreditation moves forward.

Common questions

Frequently asked

When will the program be available for enrolment?
We're preparing to submit the program for accreditation in July 2026, when the Insurance Council of BC opens its review process. We'll share enrolment availability as soon as we can. The best way to be first to know is to sign up at the top of this page.
How much will the program cost?
Pricing will be confirmed closer to launch and will depend on the modules and product classes relevant to your business. We'll share specifics with everyone on our update list before public announcements.
Who at my business needs the training?
Any employee who offers, explains, sells, or processes one of the eligible insurance products on behalf of your business will need to complete accredited training before January 1, 2027. Your Designated Representative will additionally need to complete a separate course administered directly by the Insurance Council.
What's a Designated Representative?
Each RIA-licensed business must appoint a Designated Representative — an officer, director, or partner of the business — who oversees regulatory compliance and serves as the primary contact with the Insurance Council. The Designated Representative must complete a specialized course administered by the Council itself, separate from the product training your representatives need.
Can I refer my clients to ILScorp?
Yes. We offer partner and referral arrangements for brokers, vendors, and trade associations whose clients will need RIA training. Reach out via the contact button and we'll walk you through the options.
What if my business sells multiple product classes?
The program is modular. You only train on the products and contexts relevant to your business. A construction equipment dealer offering credit protection and warranty insurance won't need the same modules as a travel agency, and pricing scales accordingly.
